A lot of our time is spent at work, often with the same group of people — the Social Committee aims to have people interact who don’t normally work together, and to encourage socialization and friendships between coworkers. Some examples of Social Committee events include virtual fitness challenges, jeopardy and name that tune; nutritionist hosted meals; and office Olympics.
We have a dedicated team of internal Mental Health First Aiders trained under the Mental Health Commission of Canada to help support our employees, recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health problems, and guide them to appropriate professional help. Our mental health team works hand in hand with our Wellness Committee to share initiatives and implement activities that take place throughout the year to assist our employee and their family members in their mental wellness journey.
